is the county seat of Warren County, and has a population of approx 62,479 people, making it the third most-populous city in the state. The Bowling Green Assembly Plant has been the source of all Chevrolet Corvettes built since 1981, and Bowling Green is also home to the state's second-largest public university, Western Kentucky University.

The Bowling Green Fire Department - is a fully paid department that is broken down into 5 different divisions with a total of 121 employees working out of 6 stations and 1 administrative office building. The divisions are administration, suppression, prevention/inspection, training and maintenance.
The suppression division of the department has 109 sworn fire personnel staffing 6 stations and they work a schedule of 24 hours on/48 hours off. They respond to structure fires, auto accidents, certain medical calls, incidents involving hazardous materials, aircraft accidents, confined space rescues, and various other types of emergency situations. They are constantly trained in every aspect of their job.
